Rack-Mounting Requirements and Warnings
Ensure that the equipment rack into which the Services Router is installed
is evenly an d securely supported, to avoid the hazardous condition that
could result
from uneven mechanical loading.
WARNING: To prevent b od ily injury when mou n ting or servicing the router in a
rack, take th
e following precautions to ensure that the system remains stable. The
following directives help m ain tain your safety:
Theroutermustbeinstalledintoarackthatissecuredtothebuildingstructure.
The router should be mounte d at the bottom of the rack if it is the only
unit in the rack.
When moun tin g the router in a partially filled rack, load the rack from the
bottom to th
e top with the heaviest component at the bottom of the rack.
If the rack i
s p rovided with stabilizing devices, install the stabilizers before
mounting o r servicing t h e router in the rack.
