1. If a cable is already installed in the CONSOLE or AUX/MODEM port, perform the

following steps:

a. Turn off the power to the console or auxiliary device.

b. Unscrewthescrewsthatsecurethecableconnectortotheport,usinga2.5-mm

flat-blade s

crewdriver if necessary.

c. Pull the ca

ble connector straight out of the port.

d. Disconne

ct the cable from the console or auxiliary d evice.

2. Plug the fem

ale end of the replacement serial cable into the appropriate CONSOLE or

AUX/MODEM por t. Figure 44 shows the external d evice ports on the craft interface.

3. Tighten the screws on the connector, using a 2.5-mm flat-blade screwdriver if necessary.

4. Power on the auxiliary or console device.
